What's included in the program

You have time alone and time in peer company. And don't forget, support from your instructors.

  • Live classes

This is where the magic happens! 100% inspired by training from the back of the room. Turn your camera on and adjust your headsets. You will think with peers, interact and ask yourself how can 3+ hours go by so fast!

  • Self-paced material

On top of your live classes you have materials to help you further your knowledge. These are available to you immediately as you enroll in the program.

  • Community

We have an online community! Not only can you ask questions to your facilitators but also to get in touch with your peers in-between classes. It is available to you as soon as you enroll and you remain part of it after the cohort ends.

How is this program different?

  • No boring slides!

You are taught entirely by a mix of training from the back of the room and coaching techniques, which means 100% active learning. You learn how to teach by teaching; you learn how to coach by coaching!

  • You are taught by professional coaches

You learn from the lessons and from the example of your instructor(s). They are professional coaches with years of experience coaching Agile, coaching teams and coaching leaders.

  • Remain supported

Your community continues after the end of the program and extra free coaching practice sessions take place throughout the year with the alumni and instructors.

  • Small group collaboration

Small groups, big conversations! You have the opportunity to really explore and grow how you think in a safe space.

  • 21 hours of live classes

In which you will interact with your instructor and peers and have collaborative, engaging conversations.

  • 6+ hours of self-study

Time with yourself and with your own scenarios are key to integrate your learning. You will have workbooks, videos, peer practice and assignments that help you hone your skills.

Meet your instructor!

Petula Guimaraes

Coach and Founder of All Things Agile

Petula has years of experience with coaching and with Agile. She was first a software developer using XP and Scrum over 20 years ago. She gradually placed her focus onto people and eventually became a professional coach.

Her passion for framework-neutral Agility as well as her firm belief that change starts with the individual and their own leadership discovery led her to eventually create All Things Agile.ca. There she coaches and teaches emergent Agile leaders on how to break from the mold of frameworks and roles, simplify and transform how people work together.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What do I need to succeed in the program?

Camera and microphone and speakers/headset. Access to the internet. You will need 3 hours uninterrupted twice a week for the classes. Also time to complete your assignments in between classes (30 minutes each on average).

  • I enrolled in the program. Now what?

You will receive an email helping you get set up with a login in Thinkific if you are new to the platform. As soon as your login is ready you have access to the introductory materials in the program, know your dates and everything else you need to prepare and show up for the live classes.

  • How do I get my certification with ICAgile?

By going through the program and doing the activities, including assignments in-between classes, you will learn and show enough proof of growth to be granted the badge ICP-CAT. That's why you need to show up in camera and microphone! You will receive your certification days after your completion of the program, directly from ICAgile.

  • Do I need to be a coach already to enroll in the program?

No. All you need to have is Agile knowledge as a practitioner. We don't teach you any basics of Agile in this program and in fact we assume you already have experience. Be a developer, or a Scrum Master, or a Copywriter, if you used Agile before you will have enough base knowledge to succeed in this program. If you are brand-new to Agile we suggest you contact us at [email protected] to get you started in other ways.

  • Who can benefit from this program?

So many different people! The most obvious ones are Scrum Masters and folks who already are Agile Coaches or seeking to become one. Secondary profiles of folks enrolling are managers and practice leaders, change managers and other emerging leaders. This program is competency-based, and these competencies can be applied in many different situations in teams and organizations responding to change via Agile.

  • Is this cohort guaranteed to run?

No. We work with no less than 4 students per cohort because this is very experiential learning. In order to guarantee a great exchange and increase in personal perspective, the classes are no less than 4 and no more than 20 students in size.

  • I enrolled, but then the cohort did no fill up. What happens now?

You can choose to be refunded or be placed on a future cohort.
